Our Search Process:

CLIENT SELECTION: 
We are highly selective and only work with clients that meet our rigorous standards.  Clients are evaluated based on their executive management team’s synergy with our firm’s integrity, business practices, organizational culture, short/long term strategic business plan, and goals.    Firms must be fiscally prudent and build their organizations to sustain multiple economic cycles.   We must respect the organization’s principals and senior executives.     The firm must demonstrate superior ethics, exceeding industry standards.

EVALUATION: 
When considering a new client, we conduct detailed interviews with the client's senior management team to develop a full understanding of the organization’s business, strategy, products/services, organizational strengths/weaknesses, culture, history integrity, and ethics. Due diligence includes understanding the current open position, historical facts of the position,  short term/long term challenges, priorities, and goals.  We develop a comprehensive understanding of “optimal” cultural fits and candidate requirements.

RESEARCH: 
We provide our client with a plan for “achieving optimal interview results” with specific suggestions regarding interview process, individuals that should be involved in the process, questions and strategies.   We conduct original research by utilizing our proprietary database with over 40,000 investment professionals worldwide, leading industry databases, our extensive network of industry contacts and target organizations identified as likely employers of “preferred” potential candidates.  

QUESTIONNAIRE & SPECIFICATIONS:
Subsequent to the candidate specification and client assessment report, we develop a comprehensive, customized questionnaire that each final candidate is required to complete. We send a “draft” to our client and request their feedback relative to specific industry experience, leadership skills preferred, and level of emotional intelligence that is required of a successful candidate.  The questionnaire helps to uncover candidate’s authenticity, related experience, and raw intelligence.  It also helps identify what type of opportunities would be a “cultural fit” for the candidate.  The questionnaire is based of Nucci’s experience spanning three decades and hiring hundreds of professionals during her tenure as a senior manager, executive and “start-up” expert for two Fortune 100 companies in the mid 80s and early 90s.   Working with numerous recruiters and a handful of search firms left her frustrated.   Nucci experience was that recruiters and search consultants primary priority was closing a deal or making a placement, not serving the client’s best interests.  We have built our firm based on the exact opposite.  Irrespective of our personal interests, we refuse to compromise our integrity----our clients and our candidates best interests are our first and primary priority.  Therefore, our failures and our successes are reflected in our questionnaire----with close to 2000 questionnaires completed by investment industry professionals through December, 2003.

INTERVIEW: 
We initiate the interview and recruiting process after the questionnaire is approved by our client.  Generally, we will interview the candidate by phone three to four times and send the candidate questionnaire to just the finalists prior to a face-to-face interview with Nucci Consulting Group. We never reveal who our client is, the position or any information regarding our client until the candidate is in the final interviewing stages with our firm.  We have two reasons for our confidentiality, one is we want to ensure that the candidate reveals their authentic self, and not the “edited” version.   Secondly, maintaining the client’s confidentiality is of utmost concern to us.  Therefore, we do not reveal who our client is until our first face-to-face interview or once we determine the candidate is a “perfect fit” for the client. 

CANDIDATE PRESENTATION: 
At the candidate presentation meeting, we generally present three to five finalists, from which the client generally selects two to three final candidates they invite in for an interview.   We conduct thirteen in-depth reference checks and provide these in writing to our client subsequent to a decision by the client to hire the candidate.

OFFER: 
We help the client develop the job offer, prepare the candidate fort he offer and extend the offer to the candidate, increasing the likelihood of candidate acceptance. 

RELATIONSHIP: 
After hiring, we maintain our relationship with the client and the successful candidate to ensure the candidate and client’s long-term success.

OUR GUARANTEE:
We exceed industry standards with our guarantee and our client pledge. Our client can expect two assurances from our firm.  First, we pledge that for a period of eighteen (18)  months if the hired candidate does not work out for reasons other than a change in the candidate’s manager (CEO/Chairman of the Board) or a change in ownership,  we will repeat the search at no extra charge (out-of-pocket expenses only).  Second, we pledge never to recruit from any of our clients.
